Top 10 reasons 1 million tourists choose Aruba

It's the weather voters say

- Easier to reach: Six U.S. airlines serve Aruba; most with daily flights.

- New airport: The new $67 million Queen Beatrix International Airport, which includes shops and boutiques, welcomes passengers from around the
world.

- U.S. customs pre-clearance in Aruba: Passengers bound for the U.S. can clear U.S. Customs and Immigration before boarding, so they arrive home on
"domestic" flights. Aruba is one of only five such countries to offer this service.

- Popular port of call: More than 25 cruise lines visit Aruba each month, allowing thousands of passengers to enjoy the island's special warmth.

- Wonderful weather: 82-degree, year-round weather makes Aruba the perfect place to escape winter chills and hurricane winds.

- Fabulous cuisine: The most difficult part about dining in Aruba is finding time to visit all of its great restaurants.

- Water sports: Diverse aquatic sports like windsurfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, snuba, kayaking, water skiing, sailing and aqua-robics are available for
everyone.

- Activities for land lovers: Aruba offers plenty of non-water related activities including horseback riding, shopping, sightseeing or hiking in Aruba's Arikok
National Park.

- They speak your language: Most Arubans speak four different languages: English, Spanish, Dutch and Papiamento (the native language of Aruba). This
is because of the island's proximity to South America and its Dutch heritage.

- Great hotels: Aruba has rooms for every taste, from quaint beachfront accommodations to the modern high-rise resorts.
