Commuter aircraft terminal
Long term plans are to build a commuter aircraft terminal to the east of the current terminal building.
Old airport restoration
Future plans are also to restore the old airport building situated at the south side. This building has been
declared a national monument which protects it from being demolished. There are no specific plans for the
building but officials would not rule out the possibility that it could become a bar/restaurant for plane spotting.
New FOL facilities
The intention is for the US FOL operations to build a new facility at the south side. These new facilities would
function as a support for the FOL already established in Curacao.
